MEMBERSHIP

Have you ever thought about getting involved? Albany Children’s Theatre relies on volunteers to continue operating and is a community theatre in every sense. Our volunteers assist with workshops, running rehearsals, making costumes, working backstage, performing onstage, making tea and coffee, working in the canteen, running fundraising events, building sets, and everything in between. There really is something for everyone (and every age) that wants to be involved.

Please note that everyone who performs any work at the theatre whether it be backstage, onstage, or in the foyer, is required to become a member. This is to provide yourself (and the theatre) with insurance should anything go wrong.

As a theatre that works closely with children and young people we also require all volunteers working with children to obtain a working with children check (WWCC) and provide the Albany Children’s Theatre with a copy for our records. If you do not have a WWCC we are more than happy to assist you in obtaining one and will cover the cost of the application.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

Membership has many benefits beyond being able to take part in Albany Children’s Theatre shows, workshops, and events. We often hold member only events, provide discounted tickets to shows, access to our newsletter, scholarships for artists and young people, member only competitions, and special access opportunities including professional development opportunities and tours.
